Creative Dream...

This post is about another thing I enjoy doing for creativity besides makeup. Painting. Both makeup and painting are relevant as they both entail a creation of some kind. A few years ago, before I learned makeup meant more than just the everyday essentials, I was eager to learn to paint. I can still remember when I bought my first set of acrylic paints at Walmart and a set of brushes. A picture of Jack and Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas was my inspiration for the first painting I did. A couple years later I enrolled in a painting class where I learned more on the types of mediums one can use and the proper ways of caring for your tools (brushes and paints). Since, I've tried to continue painting to keep that fire burning. Here is the most recent painting I have done, using oils on a canvas board.
What I love about painting is that there is no right or wrong way of painting and one can paint about anything. To me Painting is therapeutic and a creation that can live forever.

Currently Loving....

Hello everyone I decided to add a different type of post where I will feature the products I am currently loving. These products might look a bit boring because they mostly consist of daily products I use as part of my base.
  1. Laura Mercier Secret Concealer- For a long time I was a big fan of combining the Bobbi Brown corrector and creamy concealer but I think Laura Mercier's Secret Concealer beats the BB creamy concealer- I love how creamy it is and how a tiny bit goes a long way. I still do love my BB corrector!
  2. Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder- this white brightening powder goes translucent (so it is universal on all skin shades) sets concealer all day and illuminates the under eye giving a beautiful-subtle effect.
  3. Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit (Medium)- My new go-to for filling in my brows! The brow kit includes a highlighter and two brow powder shades- perfect for defining and highlighting the brows!
  4. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk- this white creamy pencil is perfect for giving more light to the brow bone!
  5. MAC Blunt Blush- A matte golden brown blush that easily contours the face for defining the cheekbones
  6. E.L.F. Cream Eyeliners in Black and Midnight- These cream eyeliners are so great! I love how creamy they are and the long wear they provide. Black is just a opaque true black while Midnight is a dark navy blue.

Going from Day to Night: 10 Essentials to have in your Makeup Bag

There are times where as much as you would love to stop by home after a long day of work to shower and get ready for a night out, "time" does not allow that to happen. Because for those evenings that are simply inevitable I have listed a few essentials that can help you transform your day look to an evening-fun look in just a few minutes.

1. Face wipes/Q-tips- Removing your entire look can be a lot when your on the go- so instead of having to re-do your eye makeup, wiping your face with wipes is an easy way to freshen up. Q-tips can be used to clean up stray specks of mascara.
2. A highlighting concealer pen- Touching up on the shadowy areas with a highlighting pen is convenient and easy
3. A pressed powder- If your cover-up consist of a liquid foundation, touching up your base makeup can be challenging. For a polished look a colored pressed powder is great because it adds coverage and gets rid of any unwanted shine
4. Blush- a neutral blush will help define your cheekbones and add color
5. Highlighter for face and eyes- Bobbi Brown's shimmer brick is not only great for highlighting parts of the face but can used to bring light to the inner corners of the eyes and the brow bone
6. A couple lipstick shades- Whether your more comfortable with a bright pink lip or a vibrant red- either color instantly amplifies your entire look adding a fun kick
7. A dark shadow- can add more depth in the crease or used as a liner on the top and lower lash line
8. Eye lash curler- for full looking lashes
9. Clear Eyes- A long day of work= becoming tired= red eyes/ Clear eyes is the best way to wake up your eyes
10. Roll on Perfume- A roll on perfume of your favorite scent can instantly boost up your mood

What are your essentials when taking a day look to an evening/fun look?

A Portion Of My Makeup Storage

US $9.99

In the midst of organizing/changing up my room I decided to re-organized my makeup. I have had this acrylic container for quite some time now, and have continued to use it since the day I brought it home. What I love about this container is that it can house some of my makeup without looking cluttered or messy. There are a total of 14 compartments, which vary in sizes. Nine of the spaces can be used for lipsticks, and the other spaces can be used for bigger products (foundations, powders, mascara, lipgloss or more lipstick). With the way I organized the products I was able to fit a total of 26 items perfectly.  I appreciate that the container is clear because it allows the products to stand out. Open containers of this type are convenient in the morning when you are getting ready for the day and do not want to be digging in your makeup drawer(s) for the products you will use.
